Introduce Yourself (Example Post)

This is an example post, originally published as part of Blogging University. Enroll in one of our ten programs, and start your blog right.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus you own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.

Whether you want to stop eating that midnight snack or you want to stop talking to your ex once and for all, getting rid of bad habits can be tough.

It only takes one minute of weakness to talk yourself into a bad decision. The “just one chocolate won’t kill me” attitude is a slippery slope. Before you know it, you might find yourself indulging in the very thing you’ve worked so hard to resist.
And while there are many effective psychological ways, these are three 3 best ways to give up a bad habit.
  • Write a list of reasons why.

On a logical level, you know why you should give up a bad habit. Bad things you know you are involved which is bad for your health as smoking is bad for your health as too much of everything is bad.

But, when you give in to cravings, you aren’t using logic. You’re basing your decision on emotion. You feel sad, bored, anxious, lonely, or some other uncomfortable emotion, and reaching for those unhealthy habits offers you temporary relief. Improve your decision making–and resist the urge to give in–by balancing your emotions with logic. The best way to do that is by creating a written list of all the reasons why you shouldn’t do something and all the ways you’ll feel better if you don’t give in. So reading over your list–and tolerating a little discomfort–will help you ride the wave until the craving has passed.
  •     Have a quiet time.

Quiet time is your personal time with your creator, to develop a relationship with him. Which helps to build you spiritually. Your quiet time is a special time of the day you set aside to be quiet before the Lord. It’s not a time to ponder on all that happened during the day or recollect something nasty someone said to you. Instead it’s a time to be still so the Holy Spirit can speak to you. Which helps you to discipline yourself fast by learning at the feet of the greatest teacher to increase in your personal knowledge of the scriptures which guides you and add to your faith virtue.

Thou will show me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy: at thy right hand the pleasures for evermore.

During this moment of quiet time you tend to develop some positive characteristics which helps you to battle the negative bad habits and with time you give up the bad attitude.

  • Create a barrier.

Sometimes, bad habits are just too convenient. They’re right there waiting for us to enjoy. You’re only as good as your worst habits. A simple but effective way to give them up is to make them harder to access. For some things, these seem obvious. If you are giving up alcohol, don’t go to a bar. If you want to quit smoking, don’t keep cigarettes in the house.

The secret to permanently breaking any bad habit is to love something greater than the habit.
— Bryant McGill

Create another version of yourself is by redefining who you are by changing your literal use of words like stop saying “i can’t smoke cigarette” to something like “i don’t smoke cigarette.” Remove any limiting language and redefine who you are and what you represent.

The acrostic of LIFE.

Living is the greatest gift God as ever given to mankind, the ability to breath in and breath out. He just didn’t create us for any other purpose than to live. After he created the world, he created man to just live in the perfect world he created.

The world we live in now these days are infested by sins every seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks etc. But living IN every blessed moments is the most abundant grace ever witnessed, making those moments. Note we are accountable for every moment that pass in our LIFE. So be careful how you choose to spend your moments.

Many has a goal sets in his mind to achieve, therefore we work not hoping for what will happen after we take each step but to achieve our aims, been considerate of every information, we need to live in FULL realization of his plans and purpose for us which stands for  ‘f’ in the acrostic of life. As a man we must be at alert, conscious of the outcome of every step we take, which only takes grace to do, not turning blind eye to every micro-bytes of time that passes and moments living, cause at these points in life comes the moment of success that gives a man a great supernatural turn around and achievements of mindset goals in life.

Realizing that moment is a big thing which you have to be ever conscious of, only with the help of the holy spirit which takes good guidance and realization of that moment.
EXPECTATION show me a man with no hope and faith and i will tell you its end. From the psychological study of Rat behavior. A rat was put inside a dark tunnel with no lights on full of water and it will only take three minutes for it to die,  while another rat was put in the same tunnel but now they made changes to the tunnel, they gave it a little light at the end of the tunnel, the rat swim for good thirty minutes before it could reach the end of the tunnel. Considering the first case of the rat, which has nothing to expect, no lights sunk and then died, while the other rat saw a little frame of hope and chose to go for it,  with all odds against it pressed and shaken but still shook it off and decided to go for it.  In every situation a man could ever find himself all he needs is having faith and hope then all will be better, even though it all seems hard, rough roads up ahead, never give in to failure cause nothing else kills faster than failure.
